    2. I am not sure where my SCHUSTER LINE is coming from or going to. It is possible there were several members who came "over" together. (Many "villages" immigrated "in-mass") Mary SCHUSTER married William ALDRUP (SR) prior to coming "over" Census records only indicate Bavaria. What info do you have on SCHUSTER? Maybe we can break the SCHUSTER Wall together! 3. Dear Gerald, I, too, have ancestors who were invited to be married along with the Crown Prince of Bavaria in 1842. I have a Bavarian penpal who found the following church document from Atting, Bavaria regarding my Schätz ancestors: churchbooks Atting, volume 5, pages 56/57, FN 94 With highest ministerial order all the government-presidencies of the Kingdom, and from those all the Royal Courts of Justice, got in May 1842 the order to care and to work, that qualified young brides and bridegrooms from the provinces of our country shall be send to Munich in Oct. 16, 1842 in a festive way to be joyful part of the highest wedding of his Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Bavaria with her Royal Highness Princess Maria von Preußen, where they shall be joined in marriage at the time of the before mentioned highest wedding at the Royal church St.Michael, and after that they shell be part of the public joyful celebrations of the highest wedding. Because in this year Anna Schätz, widow and female farmer in Atting, handed over her farm estate to her only son Georg Schätz, and he chose Helena Wild, unmarried miller's daughter from Atting, as his bride, and those young two persons in every respects owned the best reputation, so I, their minister, made an effort, they, those worthy bride and bridegroom to recommend strongly to the Honorable Titel Herrn Ritter Karl August von Vimenti?(illegible), at that time Royal Country Judge and City commissioner in Straubing, because of sending them to Munich. With joy that recommendation was accepted and after eager preparations of the Titel Herr Country Judge and with my most possible assistance because of the joyful and excellent sending, bride and bridegroom were sent together with 5 "heads" of people who are usually part of weddings on Oct. 13, 1842 early in the morning on a street parade float which was decorated very tasteful with a blue and white winded and with flowers decorated arch, surrounded by blue and white garlands and decorated with many Bavarian flags, pulled by four stately stallions. There were lots of people who watched how the street parade float started in Atting. They drove to Straubing and then to Munich and were joined to marriage Oct. 16, 1842, 10 o'clock in the morning, by the most Reverend Herrn Anton Reißacher, Cooperator of the town parish church St.Peter, with a delegation of their own people from the parish and after showing the marrriage-document, date Oct.16, 1842, which was sent from the parish-office and with marriage-permission of the Court of Justice from Sept. 22, 1842. After that they were part of the parade on the Theresienwiese (Therese's meadow) together with the brides and bridegrooms who were sent from the other provinces and the highest Royal Court. Because of registration here will be mentioned the names of the married couple, the parents and the witnesses of the marriage /: look opposite page :/ Because this fact is a historical memorableness. I hope this information helps you. Sue Nola Salt Lake City, UT

    3. Hello, The Jewish Shtetlseeker listed 2 Simmern. http://www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm One was large enough to be named on the map. The other was too small. That one shows only the red star no matter how close you get. Take a look at both and see which one is nearest to where your mother believes her people came from. Save the URL for the Shtetlseeker. It is invaluable. 3. Hello, > 6691 niederlinxweiler That number is probably the old zip code number. They were changed some years ago. If you want to find the town of Niederlinxweiler, go to the Städtlseeker http://www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm and place the town name and select "Germany" and you will end up at Mapquest with the red star as the site. Select "identify icon" and click on "city" and you will see the town.
