I am looking for information on the following family. If anyone knows anything about them or clues on where to search, please e-mail me at RPatter530@aol.com. Thanks! This is what I know of my ancestors to date: My great grandfather Anton Luttner, b. 2/15/1844 in Loibling My great grandmother Rosina Hoecherl, b. 6/1/1855 in Holz (?) They were married in Cham on 2/8/1875. (I have wedding banns.) Anton's parents were Josef Luttner and Anna Maria Sigl. Rosina's parents were Franz Xavier Hoecherl and Maria Schreiner (?). Anton had a brother, Josef Luttner, b. 8/6/1851. Anton and Rosina emigrated to the US in approximately 1880. Anton and Rosina's children born in Bavaria were Ann, b. 1876 and Joseph, b. 3/19/1878. I know from their marriage banns that they were Catholic.

It is a short in the dark but it is possible that the SCHOEPF and SIMON families are from the same area. I will give you more info if needed but I don't have much.....still searching. Joanne, Sorry for the late request. I wasn't able to check the Bavaria-list at all yesterday. If it's not too late, I'd love to have a copy. Actually, for the email groups, don't use any special characters. These cause problems with some of the email programs used by people or can cause error messages if the recipient doesn't have the proper components installed in their machine. This may not be the right list for the name SCHLIEMANN, but I have spent two years trying to get leads and a year ago found out they used to have reunions in Mecklenburg and then found out they are having one this year and low and behold just days before Christmas received an invitation myself from Adolf Schliemann. A person who happened to answer a query forwarded my letter to Adolf. Needless to say this is a really big break, and I am trying to let everyone know that I can. Mr. Schliemann says they are anxious to fill in the limbs of their trees. I am sure no more anxious than we are to find our ancestors and living relatives in Germany. Please e-mail me at t-bar@worldnet.att.net if you have connections and need info. I will be attending the reunion and will be glad to take info with me and bring back everything I possibly can. Also someone please consider starting a Schliemann surname list. Thanks, Mary Lou Bartee g granddaughter of Mary Augusta Schliemann

My grandmother was raised in a catholic church after her parents died and her brother went off to ww1 and never came back. As an adult she found her birth record in a lutheran church. Is there a way for me to find them or are they now at a county place? Her name is Dorothea Thierauf and born 27.6. 1908 and died 1.12.1983 in Kronach. I know where she is buried....could they have her record or any record there? Can anyone give me the address to Friedhof in Kronach? email me please dharmaboo@aol.com....thanks for any help.
Let all know that City of Berlin has own website now. I am still looking for a volunteer to take over as coordinator. The site is limited to the City of Berlin. Query board is available for the City now for anyone who want to leave long term query. The postings are limited to the City of Berlin. Any query not related to the City will be deleted. There are othe query boards all across Germany. http://www.rootsweb.com/~deuberst/ W. David Samuelsen
alt 641 works too. Just repetition. You could type just about anything using the alt + a combination of numbers. Remerber that if a key on your keyboard gets stuck! Happy New Year! Hi all, WHEW!!! I think I got all of you-- If I missed anyone, please email me again. If you happened to get 2 of them, well, consider that you got an extra bonus. LOL If anyone had any trouble opening the attachment, let me know and I will work with you on this so you can get it. I've (unfortunately) had a lot of experience dealing with problematic email attachments that won't open. :-) I logged on today to about 200 offer related email requests! That's not including everybody I got to yesterday, which I didn't even count. I'm sorry I wasn't able to personally respond to most of your emails, I hope you will understand why. In case any of you had that little question in the back of your mind about possible viruses in attachments, I can positively assure you that I have done all the necessary scanning with the new DAT files so this attachment was CLEAN. Thought you might like to have that assurance. :-) Also, I have been told that some of you thought by mistake that Peggy was the person who made the offer. For those of you, if you will email ME, I will forward the document to you. (Sorry Peggy for any trouble this caused you.) Someone brought to my attention that the list of reference books at the end of the document would be useful for just about anyone who is searching for passenger lists. I think I mentioned in my offer that the info is NOT exclusively German related. I may extend this offer to some other email genealogy lists, so you might see this again somewhere. All of you take care, and Happy Reading! Joanne

I thought it might help typing some of the German words if you had the code on how to type a letter with an umlaut. Hello, I apologize for using the list, but I thought maybe someone on the list had heard from her. She was recommended to me by someone in Germany and I can't find his e-mail address. I have recommended Eva to many people. She is a wonderful genealogist. I have been waiting for an e-mail from her since the second week in Novemeber. I have e-mailed her, but she has not answered. If you know anything, please e-mail me privately. VAPensel@aol.com Regards, Ginger Pensel
Hi List: Can anyone help me with this location: Waldberg Premich, Unterfranken, Bayern? Does Premich mean village, town, etc or is it just part of the town name? I would appreciate any information on this town. Thanks lslock@aol.com
Hello All, I am new to this list as well to Geneology. I am researching the Hauenstien Name. John and Catherine (Hacker) Hauenstien. They came to America From Bavaria somewhere around 1850. Unfortunelty their Naturalization records only give Bavaria for the place they came from. If anyone has any information on this please email me and let me know. Also if you could lead me in the right direction on how to research this I would be grateful. I am new to this and don't know where to find things. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mandy AGMitchum@aol.com
