    1. [BAVARIA] Blattnitz
    2. I am trying to locate the town of Blattnitz (as it was spelled in the 1880's). My great-grandfather, Joseph Plutz, came from this area in the 1870's. I have a post-card showing the street the church is on and with the spelling as above. An Elizabeth Meindel wrote after World War II, and the letter is from Blattnik, Mies, Cechei. I have looked on the Jewish-Genweb site, but am still uncertain of the location of this town. There are several Blatnices and one Blattnicka. Could someone help me find the location? Thanks, so much

It has links to all the state in Germany as well: http://users.rootsweb.com/~deuhes/Hessen/index.htm The best pages you'll find will probably be on World Genweb! Good luck Kathy

    3. Hi Tanja..... I spoke to Bruce, who is the author of FO, awhile back. I had two people in Germany that I wanted to send the program to. He said that it was not available in the German language at this time. They tried to do it in German once but it involved too many problems. I ended up sending English versions. I suggest you go on the List for FO <familyorigins@rootsweb.com> and ask there how to get a copy sent over. It is a great program and it does everything that I have needed...enjoy! Priscilla
