I am looking for information on a family named METZGER. They are from ALBESHEIM, GERMANY. I have researched as far as a GEORG METZGER born in 1777. His son was KARL who married ANNA ELIZABETH WOLF. ANNA and KARL had three children. One HEINRICH METZGER who came to PENNSYLVANIA< USA. I would be interested to know more about the METZGERS in GERMANY. Their religion, life, etc. Also I would be interested in learning about the WOLFS. The name ANNA ELIZABETH is all I have . I have copies of birth , etc. from a church in ALBESHEIM for the METZGERS. A second marriage for KARL METZGER was to MARGEHETTA GOHRING. I would also be interested in this family. If there is any info on a HENRY WEISING. Thank you.

Does anyone have access to Germans to america by Glazier and Filby for the years 1877-1881? My nearest copy is 100 miles away. I am looking for an entry for Lorenz (Lawrence) Solfermoser. Alternate spellings for this name are Salfermoser, Salvermoser, and Solvermoser. I have seen information that he immigrated in either 1878 or 1880, but would appreciate a check from 1877 to 1881. My goodness what a variety. Can any one give me a hint as to what to believe and where to look. They evidently were Catholic and emigrated to Canada around 1860 through the port in Quebec and settled in Ontario. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and efforts. I recently found a reference to my ancester, Christian Grone, in the Passenger & Immigrant List, 1998 Supplement. It says he came to the US in 1848 and the reference is page 237 of Die Auswander aus dem Fuerstenton Lippe. I translate "Auswander aus" as "emmigrants from". There are about 5 towns named Lippe in Bavaria. Does anyone knnow what Fuerstenton means? Does anyone have access to this book that they could look at page 237? Thanks for your help!!!! Phyllis
