We believe her mother was an Ackley but we have not been able to establish a link to either of her parents. We believe Lydia was born May 15, 1778, location unknown, and died Dec 12, 1855, location unknown. She married William Shaw and they had six children we are aware of: Catharine Shaw Anderson, b. Oct 3, 1795; John Shaw, b. Jul 16, 1797; Samuel Shaw, b. Dec 8, 1798; Richard Shaw, b. Jan 20, 1801; Ann Shaw Hoffman, b. Jun 9, 1802 and Lydia Shaw Moyer, b. Apr 25, 1804.
