Cousins, It appears that most of the transmission issues encountered in the past 10 days have been resolved, and the mail is again being delivered in a more timely manner. It is possible that a few pieces may never make it into your mailbox, so I really do suggest that you give the archives a look: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/BAUGHMAN/2006-08 For those who like to know such things, our mail is now being served on (lists9.rootsweb.com), which has a specific IP address of (66.43.27.45). That information is usually requested by your own ISP if you are having trouble receiving mail. As a reminder, those of you who were subscribed in both "regular" and "digest" modes have probably discovered that you have only one subscription (the new mail server software puts all subscriptions in one list, so it will not permit two subscriptions with the same address) instead of two. If you REALLY want to maintain two subscriptions, they must be at least slightly different addresses. For example, some ISPs will transmit mail to you whether it is addressed to your "regular" address or one which has the word "mail" or something similar added [ex: JohnDoe@mymail.com and JohnDoe@mail.mymail.com]. Remember that you must use the alternate address when subscribing, and the Digest subscription address is <mailto:BAUGHMAN-D-request@rootsweb.com>. Or, you might find a second, free, service that can be set to forward the messages to your "regular" address. Also, some Digest subscribers may see a change in the way their Digest Mail is delivered. If you feel it is not to your liking, please contact me privately, and I may be able to switch it to the other type. -- __________________________ James Shuman, Co-Moderator jshuman@telis.org __________________________
