Hi again Philip, I was looking through my Baughman census for 1870 Morgan Co. Mo, my gggrandfather John Baughman was born in Ohio c 1841. You mentioned that many Baughman's went to Ohio, can you tell me why, a German settlement or town maybe? Thanks, Marilyn Wilson in Wa state. --- Philip Ritter <philr@stanford.edu> wrote: > Bach refers to a stream or brook, and in the > dictionary of German names > (Bahlow, translation 2nd edition 2002), the entry > for Bachmann has "see > Bach."
