John Baughman died in Boone Co Arkansas and is buried in Milam Cemetery near Harrison. Dorathy is buried in the Sutton Cemetery near Arcadia Missouri next to her daughter Sarah Baughman Sutton. You can do a search on the find a grave website and see pictures of their graves that have been posted. The only thing that I have is a David Musselman who in 1735 owned property in Hempstead Twp, Lancaster Co, PA. We believe her mother was an Ackley but we have not been able to establish a link to either of her parents. We believe Lydia was born May 15, 1778, location unknown, and died Dec 12, 1855, location unknown. She married William Shaw and they had six children we are aware of: Catharine Shaw Anderson, b. Oct 3, 1795; John Shaw, b. Jul 16, 1797; Samuel Shaw, b. Dec 8, 1798; Richard Shaw, b. Jan 20, 1801; Ann Shaw Hoffman, b. Jun 9, 1802 and Lydia Shaw Moyer, b. Apr 25, 1804. I believe the website mentioned below, which is for a Christopher Baughman whose ancestor is claimed to be Jacob Buckman of Canton Zurich, is for a different person than the Christian Baughman who settled in Blair Co. (which is in Pennsylvania). Do you have any time period for your Christian Baughman? Two descendants of the person claimed to be Christopher's father (Heinrich or Henry Bachman (1725-1755) have had their y-chromosomes tested as part of the Bachmann/Baughman project, and were found to match Canton Aargau Bachmann descendants, including Baughmans who settled in Westmoreland Co., PA. There is a lot of contradictory information in the on-line data for Heinrich, but if you wanted to test to see if you match those Bachmann/Baughmans or perhaps others, you might consider the y-chromosome route (see http://www.stanford.edu/~philr/Bachman/BachmanResults.html).
