John Bauer, my ggandfather, lived in St Louis sometime before 1860 when my grandfather George Bauer was born. I'm trying to find out where in Germany he came from and who his parents where. He married Gottliebin Engel also from Germany. I don't believe they came here together. I wondered if they might be on some passenger lists arriving in New Orleans. Can anyone tell me how I obtain such passenger lists
