I am searching for relatives of Lizzie Bauer. I know little about her. She was b. 1865 in Russia (possibly Bessarabia). Her family was supposed to have been in German and France earlier. She may have had relatives named Henry, John, Katharine. She arrived via NY in the US in 1866, then headed for the Dakotas. She married Jacob Free shortly afterwards and had several children, including Rose Rosina, Fredricka, Freda, Elizabeth, Jake. She died quite young in 1908 or so--causes unknown. I have no record of her at all except one census notation. Family history has her as (1) German Russian, (2) Jewish, (3) Rom (gypsy). She may have been all of these. Jill
