Has anyone checked for his grave marker or church records? I do have a copy of a Land Deed signed by President Jackson, but I have no way of knowing which James Bateson it belonged to. I wish I had been more attentive over the years. Just a few years ago we lost my great uncle Ross from Xenia, Ohio. At 92 I'm sure he could have shared a lot of information.
