Aldean, Do you know what part of Ohio? My G-G-Grandmother Sarah Ellen (BATES) YORK was born in Noble County, OH about this same time. There was a large number of BATES in Monroe County brfore it was split into Monroe and Noble Counties. I have to leave for a meeting or I would look into this more.
