Hello All You Distant Cousins, Anyone with info on Peter (Pieter) BATES (BATTJES) of Pietersbierum, Netherlands, b 21 May 1838; mar Gertrude COY ( KOLKANA) 1860 in Netherlands. They emigreated to the USA in 1865, settling in Panama, Town of Harmony, Chautauqua Co, NY and had a total of nine (9) children, four of whom died in infancy. Anyone with any information on this family is urged to get in contact with me, as I am really up against a brick wall on this family line.
