I am looking for information on my great grandmother Almira Bates Lothrop born 1829 near Oswego, New York, died 1916 in Wisconsin. Almira married John Wirsing Robinson in 1860. She was 6 feet tall. The notes from my grandfather mention Martin Van Buren Bates, the Kentucky Giant, but I have no idea what the connection is, or anything else about her family. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
