Reposting- Benjamin L. Bates b.-1804-1805 CT m.-Mary? Children born in New York, Monroe County Birney b.- 1847-1848 William Wells Bates b. March 20, 1850 [my g-grandfather] Benjamin was a lawyer in NY Trying to locate info in him, wives [he married twice] and other children. William left home in 1866 and came to Texas, did not spesk much of his family. I have only been able to locate this family on the 1850 Monroe COunty, Rochester, NY Census. ANY help appreciated! Sandra
