Hi looking for wife and parents of Joshua Bates. I have his name from 2 records for Rachel and Delilah. Showing mother unknown. Rachel born in ca 1830 NY, leaving a daughter who bares her name. She married Alanson SCOFIELD(his #2) 12 Mar or May 1847? in Ovid Twp, Branch County, Michigan. When Rachel died Alanson m. Delilah, born 1836, NY and she died 12 Apr 1916 Branch County, MI. Marriage 12 Mar 1854 or May in Branch County. Delilah had 3 children, Robert R.; Essa May; Bertha D. There is a bio of Alanson Scofield which gives some of this info on the wives but nothing on parents .. in the Mecosta Biographies online at Clarke Historical Society.
