Just in case you have forgotten, don't forget to check the pension rolls for your man. I had a Yankee and a Johnny Reb, both, in my ancestry and I have done the drill for the Confederate, but don't know about Yankee pensions. You may find otherwise unknown data from pension applications and the whole administrative gambit. Good Luck! Jack Bates
