Greetings from one of your Yankee Bates. My Name is Hary Weber, and I am a member of the Bates Association, so when I see anything that even looks like Bates I dig it out. I live in Lake St. Louis Mo., and the past year and 1/2 I have been volenteering at the Dardenne Presbyterian Church on the installation of an Organ. Last summer I walked through the small cemetary there and came across the grave of Judge Barton Bates, Son of Amdrew Bates who served oon Abraham Lincoln's Cabinet, and Brother of Lt. General John Coulter Bates of the Civil War era.I have some copies of data taken from the Dardenne Church Records which I will send to you if you will please send your mailing address. Dardenne is wedged between O'Fallon MO. and Lake Saint Louis MO. in St. Charles County. Further info on the lineage of Judge Bates can be found in Bates Bulletin Volume III April 1910 Page 11. My mailing address is 12 Provence Drive Lake St. Louis MO 63367-1732. Hope you can use this information. I am a descendant of Clement and Ann Bates Hingham Mass, 1635. Harry Weber
