Sharyn, Sandy Bates Here: I believe the Newsletter you speak of must be from The Va. Bates Association. I am with the National Bates Association who's ancestors originated mostly out of New England. As the Association grew more family lines were discovered and added to the association, from other parts of the United States, and other countries.
