Hi, I am new to the list, but have some information on the family and descendants of Edgar Vanderslice and Alberta Van Arsdale BATES. Edgar V. Bates was the son of James and Mary Vanderslice Bates. Alberta Van Arsdale was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Martha J. Reagan Van Arsdale. Thomas and Martha were my great grandparents. Most of the Bates information I have is in/around Ft.
