Dear All I have just joined the list. Not much information on my Bates family whom I have only just found. Damaris Bates married John Robinson in Hanslope, Bucks on 20 September 1801. They had three children, Mary, Benjamin and John in Hanslope, before moving to Wicken. Damaris was the daughter of John and Ann Bates. >From the IGI I think that John Bates might have been born in Milton Keynes in 1747, the son of William Bates and Damaris Bell. Anyone with any links?
