I am at a total standstill with David P. and Elizabeth GRIFFIN BATES. Elizabeth's parents had 16 children. One died young, so not much research could be done on him. There are 5 of us "cousins" online, who are working on this Griffin family. We divided the children. Now each of us have three to work on instead of fifteen. Good idea, right? Well, I CHOSE Elizabeth, who married David P. BATES. I know they were married in Bibb County, AL in 1847. They had one child that I know about, Amazon, a girl, born 1848, Bibb County, AL. I have been told there were at least two more children, Martha Sophia, born 1851 and Robert Critidon Griffin BATES, born about 1853. They may have been in GA, but I cannot find them there either. If anyone has a marriage CD for AL or GA, and would look to see if either of these children were married in those two states, I would be ever so grateful. Thank you in advance, Darlene
