Moody HOLLEMAN, b. 12/28/1784 in Surry County VA and Margaret BROWN, b. 12/24/1794 in GA were married 6/13/1820 in Lawrence County MS. Moody died 10/15/1865 and Margaret died 4/16/1880 and both are buried in the Gainesville cemetery in Hancock County MS. Their 3rd child Jeremiah HOLLEMAN was b. 10/2/1824 and he married Mary BATES on 12/30/1854 in Hancock County MS. Jeremiah died 9/11/1877 and is buried in Picayune, Hancock County MS. The 9th child of Moody HOLLEMAN and Margaret BROWN was Feliscian [Felicy Anna?] HOLLEMAN who was born 1/15/1835. She married Joseph BATES on 7/27/1857 in Hancock County MS. I am especially interested in the ancestors, siblings, and descendants of Mary BATES and Joseph BATES.
