Good evening - back to my Bates line after a while away. My "oldest" is JOHN BATES b 25 Oct 1415 Lydd, Kent, ENG; died 1445 and buried in All Hallows Parish Churchyard. "a legendary soldier in the Battle of Agincourt". I show two sons, THOMAS BATES b 1440 Canterbury, Kent, ENG and HENRY BATES died 1478. It would be nice to fill in a little more about John, and does anyone know the wife of Thomas? All ancient history of course, but one does like to go back as far as possible!!! I would love to know more about the "Battle of Agincourt" and welcome a suggestion for a book to request into the local (very tiny) library about it. Thanks - Maria
