I, too, am interested in any and all information available on the Ulster residents, John Bates and Euphemia Robinson, from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. If any Bates List member can shed light on them, please address it to the Bates List membership. I have a MacCammon and an Anderson ancestor from County Tyrone, but I know little other than their names and supposed birthdates. I have been told the MacCammon name was one from the Scottish Lowlands and has many variant spellings (MacCalmont etc). These Ulster Scots are descendants of those who were a part of the Plantation in the 1600s when many protestant Scots were invited to settle in Northern Ireland by the English government. I have Robinson ancestors also, origin unknown. Thomas John Bates (Jack)
