Hello, searching for my Bates roots in Avoca, Quebec. I know that the Young's & Bates tended to have lots and lots of children. (10-14 & one great-aunt reportedly had 18 children - can you imagine that!!) Anyways, all these kiddies makes it very hard to sort through the Bates.
