Hello, I was hoping someone might be researching the same Bates line. Marshall Bates (son of Calvin Bates and Kezia Fink) was born in June 1851 in central Ohio. His family moved to Williams County, Ohio when he was a boy. There he married Rosa Tucker in 1870 and had several children, including Maggie, Calvin, Luella, Cecil, Flory and Violet. They moved to Indianapolis. His wife Rosa died in 1897 en route to Indy. He married Dora Mikesell (b. May 1879) on November 5, 1898 in Indianapolis. I thought they lived in Indianapolis for a number of years thereafter. However, I cannot find out if they had any children together or when and where he and Dora died. If anyone happens to have any information on these two, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks, Mike Bates
