I am interested in contacting others who are descendants of, and researching the John Bates and Hannah Draycott family. John Bates was born about 1816 at Linton, Derbyshire, England. He married Hannah Draycott 16 May 1837. I descend from their son John A. Bates. It looks like they emigrated to Utah between 1855 and 1861. I have gathered some information on the family in Utah and Idaho but very little so far on them in England. Darris G. Williams
