I saw the post for Bates Bulletins. Is there a Bates organization? I just got on line here. It isn't exactly my direct line, but my grandmother's sister married a Bates. Lou Davis b 1875 m ________ Bates. Her siblings were: Jesse m Lonnie______, Elmina b Nov 1871/2 m A. Cartwright Jan 1898 d 1944, Julie b 1879 m ________ Latham. Parents were William/Wilman Davis & Jane/Sarah Jane Cole. Elmina is my direct line. She was born in NC so they were there in 1871/1872. Any help or suggestion is appreciated.
