I am looking for information regarding Emmaline (aka Emma or Emily) Bates. She was born Feb 1864 in either Canada or Michigan. I do not know the names of her parents or how she arrived in Cape Giradeau Co., Missouri. She married William Allen McClain (aka McLean and McLain) in 1880 in Missouri (presumably Cape Giradeau County). She is enumerated with William in the 1880 census of that county. She is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Cape County. Her tombstone inscription indicates that she died during childbirth during 1896. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Stephanie Robinett
