Is anybody out there familiar with any BATES families of Stokes Co, NC. I am trying to find a Father and Mother for my Mary BATES....I believe she was born in Stokes and then married a William SHELTON in 1800 in Greenville, SC. Mary was born ca. 1785. Any help out there???? Thanks, [email protected]
