His father was Ezekiel Noble b. 24 Aug 1787 Sheffield, Bristol, MA., his mother was Theodocia Bates b. 7 Aug 1789, Egremont, Berkshsire, MA. She was the daughter of Joseph Bates b. 23 Feb 1755, Middletown, CT. He married Sarah Ann Deming of Wethersfield, CT. Joseph Bate's father was Joseph Bates b. 9 Apr 1732 in Middletown, Middlesex, CT. His mother was Mary Foster b. 5 Mar 1734, Middletown, Middlesex, Ct. I have him as the son of Clement Bates and Mary Horton. These are the notes from Savage: !admitted freeman in 1636.
