This is my last hope. I have searched every census record and tax list I can find. I can't find my great-grandparents. Benjamin Bates m. Mariah Allis Ramey Nov. 9, 1888 in Wise County VA. They disappeared off the face of the earth until in 1910 Allice Bates shows up in the Knott County KY census age 42 as a widow with the children. In the 1900 census of Knott Co two of their children (Ditha Ann-my grandmother and her brother John Wilson) are living with a Hall family. Where in the world were Ben,Allis and the other children between 1888 and 1910? Nobody knows, I don't know, they don't know. I need help. Please!!!! Gloria
