I am still looking for any information I can find on Martin Bates (b:1817) and Margaretha Rauschkolb (1837). I would assume they married about 1857. Possibly, from Massachusetts. They would have then gone to somewhere around Syracuse, New York. Their children were: William (married Emma) Nettie (married Harry Bristol) Mary (My greatgrandmother who married John Hesley in 1890 Anna B.
