John Rutherford bates born ca 1878 Missouri father born in England mother in TN . was living in Calhoun county as a boarder in 1910 and worked in Winneberg coal mine. Shortly after me married Sarah Catherine Sherman and lived in Washington near Manson. John Bates died June 24, 1950 perhaps in Washington.
