Hi cousins, Can someone out there tell me why Elisha Bates (son of Benjamin & Hannah Green ) was "Disowned" in 1837? Also the name of his last child which was born on Aug 2, 1818. I am working out of the "Bates Family of Old Virginia and Beyond", and the name of the child is not legible and nothing is said of him being disowned, except the date. Thanks for your help, Eva
