I am looking for information on Samuel S. Bates and his wife Eliza Rhodes. According to my mother he came to Oregon with is 12 or 15 children :>) from Missouri. The only child I know of is Nellie Cleminia Bates who married Lewis Grant Stafford in Portland, Oregon, Feb. 26, 1900. They are my great grandparents.
