He was married to Lavina Frances Nance on Jan 20 1792 in Halifax County, Virginia. Lavina was born on Feb.14 1769 in Halifax County, Virginia and died Dec.28 1856 in Halifax County, Virginia.The children's names are Sally who never married,Martha who married Samuel Whitehead on Oct.9 1828, Mary who married Stephen Owen on Nov. 5 1825, Winiwho married Edmund Beadles on Sept. 24 1819, Elizabeth who married Armstead Owen on Oct.28 1818, Matthew and Fleming never married, Natthaniel who married Elizabeth Whitmore , Lavina who married Pamplin date unknown.
