I am seeking information on the family of Sarah Bates born about 1783 in VA. I don'nt know who she married. I think she had about 9 children: Hannah, Evaline, William, David, Thomas, Marion, Sarah, Mary, and possibly Caroline b. in AL. All of the other children were born in GA, many in Wilkes Co. I have found Sarah in 1850 in a Coosa Co. Census with Marion and Mary. William, who is my great great grandfather was living close by with his wife Lucinda Dennis and two children (one who was my great grandfather Francis Marion Bates. I also found Thomas,, David and Sarah in Coosa Co. in 1850 and in 1860 along witih Evaline who married John Pate and Sarah who married a Walker. I fouond Hannah married to Carey Cotton in Coweta Co, GA. I would like to know what Bates Sarah married and when, and also if the above listed children are all her children.
