Hi.. I'm looking for information on my ggggm. Her name was Elizabeth Bates. She was born 5 July 1820 in Al (I think Franklin Co) and died 12 Sep 1857 in Franklin Co. She married Peter Patterson (1815-1899) on 12 Sep 1839 in Franklin Co. She is also buried in Franklin County at Weatherbee Cemetery. I think but I'm not sure Elizabeth Bates' father was Henderson Bates. He is on the 1830 Census with a dau old enough to be Elizabeth. She would have been 10. Is anyone else researching the Bates family in Franklin County. I would love to exchange information. I don't have alot of Bates information but I do have ALOT of Patterson info. I also believe but have not proven that Elizabeth had a sister/cousin that married Peter's brother - David Nolan Patterson.
