Hiway 81 runs thru Lowndesville. In Abbeyville at Court House, they have much info on Baskins. We visited there abt 3 yrs ago. My husbands line is kin to the Baskins in Lowndesville, but at the Cemetery, we could find no direct line there. His GGGGrandfather Hugh Baskin, owned there, and surely would be buried someplace there, but probably too old for stone to still be there. Some of Hugh Baskin land is still there, but Lake Sucession(?)sp covered most of it. There is a Mable Baskin that lives across the road from this land. Write me directly at [email protected] Nelda
