I actually have been to Ardara, Donegal, Ireland. Love Donegal, Ardara is a very long way from everything and in the middle of no where. My guess would be that they were peat farmers back in the day. Anyway, I have my DNA on Ancestry DNA (matching other descendants) and one distant "cousin' who shares William Baskin and Mary Stewart matches on chromosome 13, 100, 094, 751 to 105,384,891, 11.3 cM. Ancestry DNA says we share William Baskin and Mary Stewart but with only one match, it can is either one or the other. Gedmatch numbers are A012273, A460850, A513939, A832713 and A200161.
