Mr. Baskin was born on April 30, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a son of Clifton Sr. and Castene Willis Baskin. He work for Arcelor Mittal Steel Company in Warren, Ohio, which was previously owned by the LTV Steel Company. He served 34 years with Arcelor Mittal Company and nine years with VS Steel Company in Youngstown. He loved and devoted his time to as Head Deacon at the Temple Emmanuel Seven Day Adventist Church, 108 West Indianola Ave. in Youngstown. He also received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. He leaves his mother and his wife, the former Karen Simms-Hallins, whom he married on Nov. 4, 1993, both of Youngstown; children, Corneiluis (Patrice) Baskin of Indianapolis, Stephen (Layla) Baskin of Stockin, Calif., David Alan Parker of Gulfport, Miss., Nicole (Anthony) Oliver of Chesapeake, Va. and Nicholas (Chantrese) Simms of Mansfield; three brothers; three sisters; nieces and nephews; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday at the Temple Emmanuel Seven Day Adventist Church.
