Tom, your Barton line has a similarity to mine. My g-g grandmother was Matilda Barton, b. 1807 SC, d. 1891, Hall Co., GA. She had siblings Henry, 1793-1871, David b. 1796, Stephen b. 1804, James b. 1806 and Mary Ellen b. 1817. Henry, David, Stephen and Matilda all married Thomasons.
