I have a JOSEPH BARTON, born maybe c. 1755, died 1817 in Pendleton District, SC. He had a son David b. Nov. 17, 1777, d. 1859. As far as I know, he did not have a son named Thomas. Other children: James, Rebecca, Cassey, Pheby. I only have information about David's line. An attempt was made to connect this line to other SC Barton lines and to Thomas Barton/Sarah Wilson, but no concrete evidence has ever proven a connection. > In researching my Barton family I have tied so far unsuccessfullly to locate > information about my 6 g grandfrather Joseph Barton.
