Dear Barton descendant, I'm not sure this will help but may give you some clues. My ancestor Michael Barton, b. PA or VA ca 1785, d. 29 March 1861, Mercer Co., OH, and his wife Barbara Kepler, b. 21 Sept 1797 Woodberry Twp., Bedford Co., PA, had ten ch., one of whom was James Barton, b. 29 Dec 1825 Liberty Twp., d. 21 nov 1905, Richland Co., OH, m. 2 Aug 1850 Knox Co., OH, to Diantha Wilson. The reason I mention this is that one of his sisters also m. a Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Jr., oldest s/o Andrew Wilson and Betsy Higgins. The Wilson family later went to Lucas Co., Iowa from liberty Twp., Knox Co., OH. Ref. 1803 History of Knox Co., OH (Mt. Vernon, OH, A.A. Graham & Co., 1881. Hope this helps.
