    1. [BARTON-L] Joseph Barton/Elizabeth Brownjohn?
    2. Documents relating to the Revolutionary History of the State of New Jersey, Vol II 1778. p. 8 states that Mrs. Barton...died of the Samll-Pox in her 48th year. It continues "she had been driven with 7 small children from their estate in Sussex County...whilst the Lieutenant Colonel was Prisoner at Weathersfield in Connecticut. >From Annapolis Co. Probate Wills, Vol I, page 198: Last will & testament of Joseph Barton of town of Digby dated 15 Feb 1788: wife Elizabeth, daughter of Dr. Wm. Brownjohn of NY; eldest son, Benjamin. Can anyone tell me when Joseph Barton married Elizabeth? Since he went to Digby after the war, I assume that it was some time shortly after the first Mrs. Barton died. Does anyone know who the first Mrs. Barton was? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Bambi Dingman - Histcreatr@aol.com
