This Squire was the son of John Barton and Mary Polly Earls from Kentucky. Some of the children were born in Kentucky and some in Illinois. Squire was born 1843 in Illinois. The family later went to Missouri. Squire was the brother of George Washington Barton married to Catherine Reese. George Washington Barton was born 1832 Clark Co. Illinois. It looks as if there should be a connection here to your information. Maybe I have some wrong information and would welcome any corrections.
