Searching for any information available on Willoughby BARTON and wife Anne (?). He was said to have been born in Richmond Co. GA or SC. He was referred to as "Captain" and after the Revolutionary War, he drew land on Spirit Creek in Richmond Co. GA in 1786. He transacted land with General John TWIGGS. Known children of Willoughby BARTON and Anne (?) were: 2-James BARTON who married Patience W. (?), he died before 1808 in Augusta GA. One known child of this marriage was Dr. James Twiggs BARTON. 2-Willoughby BARTON, Jr. who married Nancy RAMSEY. 2-Nancy BARTON who married Phillip NOWLAND. Thanks for any help! Byron Hill P.O.
