I'm looking for information on the following people: Joseph Barton married to Mary Goocher/Gorchee probably from Canada. They had a son named John Barton born 1808 or possibly 1812 and died 11 Jan 1895. John is listed as a native of Three Rivers, Canada and later lived in Strafford, Vermont. John was first married to Azuba Benne/Benney. Married second to Melinda Cota (native of Quebec) on 9 Oct 1875 in Strafford, VT. John and Azuba Barton had several children: Rosette, John, William, Julia, Margaret, Peter, Charles and Ma(r)y Jane. The children were born in various locations around Vermont. John and William both served in the Civil War and were prisoners at Andersonville Prison, where William died.
